The Chow Chow dog was originally bred to endure physically demanding jobs. He will thrive in an apartment or a home with a big area that he can run around and have a good time. If shaved fur fails to regrow to its original state, this will put the Chow Chow at risk of overheating during hot days or becoming chilled on cold seasons.
